Drug Uses
Alesse is a very successful birth control drug (with 99% efficiency when taken as prescribed). It is made of natural hormones that prevent the ovary from egg releasing and do not let the sperm to enter the uterus. The usage of Alesse is giving you a possibility to be well protected and to enjoy intimate moments with your partner.
How Taken
The first pill should be taken on the first Sunday after the beginning of your period (unless you have different instructions from your doctor). You should take one pill daily, at least 24 hours between each dose. Its easier to take the pills every day at the same time – first thing in the morning, before going to bed or at any other time that you will remember easily. If you decide to take the pill before bed, that may help you relieve any headache or nausea that you may suffer, due to the containing hormones. If your cycle is 28 days, you should take one pill daily. When you finish the tablets, throw the pack away. Next day start with a new pack. The 28-day cycle includes seven pills that are either placebos (with no active ingredients) or iron supplements. They are used to remind you to stick to your usual cycle. They should be taken during your menstruation period. If your cycle is of 21 days, take one pill every 21 days and then stop them for 7 days. Your period should start during the 7 days that you do not take any pills. Start taking the pills again on the 8th day with a new pack. If you take such pills for the first time, consult with your doctor about the option of taking a second kind of birth control, also in cases of antibiotics treatment or if you miss a pill.

If you by any chance miss a pill, there is a possibility to get pregnant. This is also valid if you start the pack later than the usual time.
