Aldactone is classified to the potassium-sparing diuretics drugs(water pill). It aims to lower the fluid level in your body preventing the loss. It relieves edema (swelling) and hypertension (high blood pressure). This medicine is also used to fight potassium deficiency and hyperaldosteronism (a hormonal disorder).
How Taken
Aldactone is produced in tablets, which have to be taken orally. It has to be taken with food, usually once a day in the morning or twice - in the morning with breakfast and at lunch. You should keep on taking Aldactone and consult your physician if you begin to suffer from headache you feel dizzy; or you havenausea, diarrhea, or an appetite decrease; dry mouth; bloating; muscle cramps; or lowering of the voice, excessive hair growth, or enlarged breasts. There are also other kinds of possible side effects which haven’t been listed. You should inform your doctor about any unusual conditions you experience while taking Aldactone.
Storage
This drug should be kept in its original package and should be kept away from children. It must be kept at a normal room temperature, away from moist places and excess heat. Do not use if it out of date. Discuss that with your doctor.
